For the month of November the EMS Division handled a total 142 calls. We had 115 calls for our 1st due unit, 29 calls for our second due unit, 6 calls for our third due unit, 0 call for our fourth due unit, and our QRS unit responded to assist an Ambulance unit on 2 calls. The EMS Supervisor responded to 3 calls and the Duty Chief responded to 1. The department wide EMS training for the month was on Sepsis.
For the month of October the Fire Division handled 23 calls for service. We had 10 calls for the Engine Company, 12 for the Truck Company, 3 for the Squad, and 2 for the Special Unit. The Duty Chief responded to 11 calls and the EMS Supervisor to 2. The first monthly department wide training crews met at Fire Station 45 (Kinzer) to train on Forcible Entry with the County Training Center Forcible Entry Trailer. The second monthly department wide fire training was on Engine Company operations and deploying handlines. Several individual members also completed several hours of driver training.
This month members from Station 43 and Station 45 (Kinzer Fire Company) staffed Engine 452 and stoodby covering Station 67 (Rohrerstown Fire Company) while they were out on a company wide training. Three calls for service, two AFAs and a Cardiac Arrest were handled.
