This past weekend the EMT students from our class got the opportunity to participate in a simulated MCI (Mass Casualty Incident). Given limited information prior to their “arrival on scene”, the students were presented with a drill that in total gave them 53 patients. We would like to thank all of those who came out to assist in this drill which included friends and families of the students, community members, and some of our own members. Also a special Thank You to Weavertown Mennonite School for hosting the event!
The drill had the students filling roles from triage, treatment, transport, and command staff. It also gave the student’s families who helped a chance to see all the skills the students have been learning so far!
